In December 2021, Dr. Duclos’ clinic performed an abdominoplasty as well as the removal of non-cancerous cells located on the thumb of patient Ms. Lavoie. Following her experience with the clinic, Ms. Lavoie authorized us to share her testimony and her photos before the operation and after the operation.

Why an abdominoplasty?
Significant weight loss, childbirth or aging sometimes lead to excess sagging skin and fat in the abdomen. Abdominoplasty (or tummy tuck) and mini-abdominoplasty redefine the abdomen by removing skin and fat and, sometimes, correcting muscle sagging. The best candidates for abdominoplasty are physically fit men and women who are bothered by fat accumulation and sagging skin that does not improve despite exercise and a healthy diet.
During the same operation Ms. Lavoie also benefited from an operation on her left thumb.
It will be recalled here that surgeries to remove unsightly lesions are necessary following screening by your doctor, dermatologist or for aesthetic reasons. This involves the removal of a nevus, a mole, a cyst, a lipoma, a scar or small skin tumors. These types of intervention can respond to a medical or aesthetic necessity. These actions are quick and low risk.
During your consultation, Dre Duclos will assess your state of health and advise you on the surgical technique the most appropriate so that the result harmonizes with your figure. Dr. Duclos will also explain the risks inherent to the procedure, provide you with information on its progress, generally under general anesthesia, and give you pre- and post-operative instructions.

Elle a notamment réussi les examens de chirurgie plastique et esthétique du Collège des Médecins du Québec, du Collège Royal des Médecins et Chirurgiens du Canada et de l’American Board of Plastic Surgery. De plus, elle a complété plusieurs formations de surspécialisation à Paris et à la Clinique Mayo aux États-Unis. Plus récemment, elle a suivi une formation dans le cadre du programme de médecine d’assurance et d’expertise à l’Université de Montréal, et ce, tout en continuant sa pratique active.
