Abdominoplasty and removal of skin lesions or tumors: a testimonial of satisfaction

Abdominoplasty and removal of skin lesions or tumors: a testimonial of satisfaction

In December 2021, Dr. Duclos’ clinic performed an abdominoplasty as well as the removal of non-cancerous cells located on the thumb of patient Ms. Lavoie. Following her experience with the clinic, Ms. Lavoie authorized us to share her testimony and her photos before the operation and after the operation.

We thank her for allowing us to share her comment published on Facebook on December 8, 2021 in Montreal. Ms. Lavoie also emphasizes the importance of Dr. Duclos’ team who accompanied and reassured her throughout the process as well as the presence and support of those around her in her approach. Indeed, for a surgical procedure, in addition to having an intervention carried out according to the rules of the art, a positive and reassuring environment is just as important for a rapid and peaceful convalescence.

“It’s one year old, I decided to think about myself in 2021.. A new journey towards an abdominoplasty by Dr. Duclos and her wonderful team
So here are my before/after photos. I know this is a very personal journey, but I would like to highlight the professionalism of my specialized plastic surgeon and what talent she has for giving me a superb scar and do you have my navel
I also had surgery for my thumb which had 3 non-cancerous giant cell tumors at the same time and what can I say once again about the beautiful straight scar!! I’m starting work again this Monday in great shape and with my new figure xx A special thank you to Steven Buck who pampered me during my convalescence. Thank you also to my children Florence Lavoie for her incredible family support, Wilson Lavoie and Derek Lavoie I love you #abdominoplasty #tummutuck #bodypositive #transformation

Why an abdominoplasty?

Significant weight loss, childbirth or aging sometimes lead to excess sagging skin and fat in the abdomen. Abdominoplasty (or tummy tuck) and mini-abdominoplasty redefine the abdomen by removing skin and fat and, sometimes, correcting muscle sagging. The best candidates for abdominoplasty are physically fit men and women who are bothered by fat accumulation and sagging skin that does not improve despite exercise and a healthy diet.

During the same operation Ms. Lavoie also benefited from an operation on her left thumb.

It will be recalled here that surgeries to remove unsightly lesions are necessary following screening by your doctor, dermatologist or for aesthetic reasons. This involves the removal of a nevus, a mole, a cyst, a lipoma, a scar or small skin tumors. These types of intervention can respond to a medical or aesthetic necessity. These actions are quick and low risk.
