The decision may be linked to a change in priorities, an implant defect or rupture, fears related to implants, physical changes, etc. Whether saline or silicone breast prostheses, it is a delicate surgery during which not only the implants are meticulously removed but also and above all the capsule (envelope) which has developed around the implants.
Following the procedure, Dre Duclos systematically sends the implants and capsules to the laboratory for in-depth analysis. For more than 20 years, Dre Duclos has removed breast implants from more than a hundred women. In May 2006, she gave an interview to the Radio-Canada show La Facture during a report specifically on breast implants. In this report, she mentioned the importance of informing patients so that they are able to give informed consent and make the right decision.
