Dre Duclos is always on the lookout for new features in order to better advise you. Regarding breast augmentation for several months, Dr. Duclos has been using a new breast implant which was accepted by the Food and Drug Administration in 2017 and by Health Canada in 2018. It is a silicone breast implant in < em>Xtra cohesive gel which is very beneficial for many women.
This implant is from the same family as the cohesive gel implants which were designed in 1995. Cohesive gel silicone has many advantages including that of constituting a block which means that the silicone cannot flow.
In addition to being a very natural breast implant to the touch, the new Xtra implant is more projected, firm and filled than the standard cohesive gel silicone one. This has many advantages, including reducing the undulations (waves or wrinkles) of the implants. Consequently, there is less risk that the implants will be visible.
The Xtra cohesive gel breast implant is particularly recommended in the following conditions:
- – in a thin woman since the fat layer is weak and the implant is practically under the skin;
- – when the morphology of the woman’s thorax is slanted or triangular, which means that the implants move to the sides and can be found laterally in relation to the mammary gland and therefore more on the surface; li>
- – and when large or large implants are desired and extend beyond the mammary gland laterally.
Dre Duclos has been practicing cosmetic surgery for over 20 years and considers that these implants are a remarkable advance and are very advantageous for many women. She is very happy to be able to add this choice to her practice and thus benefit her clients.
