Chemical Peelings

Chemical peels have been used for decades. Basically, the peel is applied to the face in order for the body to regenerate skin that is in better condition.

There are different types of chemical peels. The one most often used by doctors is based on glycolic acid.
Chemical peels are recommended in order to improve the quality of skin that is sun damaged, presents uneven pigmentation, has dilated pores, or suffers from acne scarring.

Recovery is quite fast; the skin just looks a little pink for about 24 hours. It is usually recommended to undergo a series of treatments over approximately 4 weeks.
